• An idea for you...

World book day is coming up next week and I don't know about you but I always leave it super last minute. This out fit is still waiting for the final (apparently most important touch) the large red feather for the hat which I need to source. Everything else we made using what we had lying around.

• I made the hat out of felt and it couldn't have been simpler to make.

• Two bits of green felt cut into a triangle then I hand stitched 2 edged together and flipped inside out.  Just need to add that red feather to complete the look.

• The belt I stitched onto a (very old) T shirt that is about 4 sizes too small for son but works perfectly for this.

• I cut out a mustard square and then cut out the inside of the square and handstitched it onto a black felt belt

• I don't know about you but my child's legs grow at the speed of a cheetah so these trousers were already waaayy too small, so I just trimmed the edge off.
